How do I log usage or flight hours?

To log usage:

1. Open Usage Logs from the menu
2. Click Log usage
3. Choose the asset and date — the form adapts to the asset type
4. Enter the meter readings that match the asset:
   • Aircraft — Hobbs and/or tach start/end
   • Vehicles — odometer start/end (kilometres or miles)
   • Watercraft and equipment — engine hours
   • Properties — nights / visits
5. Add a route if relevant (aircraft ICAO codes are auto-uppercased; vehicles use origin/destination)
6. Add any notes
7. Optionally toggle Share to group to post a short message about this entry to the group chat
8. Click Save usage log

Quick vs detailed entry

The form offers two modes:

• Interactive — guided step-by-step, ideal for quick entries on mobile
• Standard — single-form layout with every field visible at once

What usage logs are used for

• Per-member cost tracking
• Automatic invoice generation, if usage-based billing is enabled for your group
• Maintenance scheduling — meter-based maintenance intervals update from your readings
• Activity history on the asset detail page
